Closure date: 7 October 2013!
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the world's largest humanitarian network, reaching 150 million people each year through its 187 member National Societies.
In January 2012, the Secretary General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies issued a new Staff Regulations aiming at implementing the Staff Rules.
The Secretariat of IFRC has a Staff Association (SA) which is established under the Swiss law and closely linked to the regulations for staff. In this revision the SA wants to take a fresh look at existing processes, structures and services in order to in line with recent developments.
The role of the intern will be to support the process which is envisaged to be highly participatory and should provide opportunities for all member and
international staff to feed into the process, in its various consultation.

||Hervé Dumas, Picteist 137 (1993), passed away on 4th April. The Committee for the Jean-Pictet Competition sends its condolences to his family and friends. Hervé will be remembered as a member of a team that had a great impact on the fourth edition of the Comptetion, both for its accession to the semi-finals and for its good humor. Hervé was involved in the organizing team of the 1994 Competition, and organized a "humanitarian rally" for participating teams. It was the era of the "seal in Alaska" and of a great influence of Quebec on the Pictet. Bye, Hervé!
