Location of the Competition :

What is the exact location of the Competition ?

If a team arrives in Switzerland before 19th April and/or after 26th April, are their costs covered by the Competition?

No. Please see Art. 16 of the Regulations

Does the fee cover the accomodation on site?

Yes. Please see Art. 16 of the Regulations

Are sheets provided?

Yes. No need to bring your sleeping bags!

What is the climate expected?

One can expect 8° Celsius. It may rain. In principle, it should not snow.
Between 1961 and 1990, temperatures oscillating between 2 et 14° Celsius were observed. On average, precipitations were of 85 millimetres.

Is there an Internet access?

In principle, yes. However, we are unable to guarantee that this access will be free.

The Competition:

Is the person of our Institution that coaches the team allowed to come with us to Schwarzenburg ?

No. Each team has a tutor trained and provided by the organisers of the Competition (Art. 13 of the Regulations). He/she will follow the performance of the team and will report about it after the Competition.

Is there a possibility for external people to attend the tests?

All the tests are closed. The last day of Competition only is open to the public (April 25, semi-finals and final).

When will we receive the schedule of the Competition?

During the opening ceremony: Art. 10 of the Regulations.

When will the preparatory document for the study case be online?

In due time.

Is there a dress code for the Competition?

No. However, it does help to be ready to have clothes that match the role. To wear jeans and baskets does not help to feel the role of an Ambassador speaking before the Security Council...

Are we allowed to use our laptop during the tests?

Yes, but up to you to decide if it is appropriate.

Are we allowed to use our documents during the tests?

Yes, in principle.

Who are the other teams?

You will discover them during the opening ceremnoy!

Visas:

When will we receive the invitation letter that will allow us to begin the process?

All teams that need a visa to enter Switzerland received their invitation letter.

Universality Funds:

When will we receive an answer?

All teams that receive a support from the Universality Fund are now informed about their status.

Training documents:

When will we receive the next trainig documents?

Selected teams will start receiving Training Material in the days following the announcement of the results of the selection.
At the time being, you should have received all the documents (0, A1, B2, C3, D4, E5, F6, G7 and H8).

Application Form:

We are unable to insert the footnotes in the spaces created for the answers to the questions, how should we do?

You should insert manually the footnotes at the end of your answer, or inside the text, in brackets for example.
Do not forget that the word limit does include the footnotes!

Derogations:

What should we send as for a request for derogation ? And to whom?

You should write a brief letter to explain why you are asking for a derogation and why the CCJP should allow you to participate.
This letter, together with a Curriculum Vitae, has to be sent to Julia You will be kept posted as soon as a decision has been made.
