Sylvain Beauchamp

Attorney-at-Law member of the Quebec Bar, Senior Advisor for the human rights organization Rights & Democracy, based in Montreal. Lecturer in international law at the Department of Legal Studies of the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM).
Sylvain worked in Geneva and Zurich from 1998 to 2002 as Senior Staff Attorney for the Claims Resolution Tribunal for Dormant Accounts in Switzerland, working towards the restitution of dormant Swiss bank accounts to Holocaust victims. From 2002-2004, Sylvain worked as an Attorney-at-Law specialized in international arbitration in a Geneva-based law firm. From 2004-2006, Sylvain worked as a delegate of the International Committee of the Red-Cross (ICRC), based in Hebron in the West Bank, and as Senior International Humanitarian Law Advisor for the Canadian Red Cross.
Masters and a Ph.D. in international law from the Graduate Institute of International Studies (GIIS) in Geneva.
Participant in 1996, coach in 1997, involved in the organization of the Competition in 1999.
Member of the CCJP since 2000.
